Welcome to AISA! A diverse community of Students, Parents, Educators, and Support Staff that come from 41 different Countries nestled in the heart of our host City of Abuja with its vibrant culture and community.
My name is Muna Daoud and I’m truly honored and excited to be the Parents and Teacher Association President for the year 2024/25. I have a son in fourth grade and a daughter in pre-kindergarten at AISA who are my joy and the light of my life. What drew me to join the PTA was my love for my children, my desire to follow in the example set by my parents, and my passion and experience in community engagement and building. In joining the PTA I hope to be positively engaged in my children’s lives and to support their learning and community. My parents were active members in the school’s PTA growing up, and their work and effort has enriched our community and our lives. They have inspired me to follow in their footsteps in being an active and contributing member in my community. I’ve also taken on that ethos in my professional life working with non-profit humanitarian and relief organizations in the United States and Sudan helping create educational and community building programs targeting vulnerable communities. I hope I can bring that passion and experience into my role in this PTA to help us build on the effort of previous community members.
I am a firm believer in the quote “Coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress, and working together is success.” Henry Ford. With that in mind and as a guiding principle for this PTA I invite all of you to get involved, contribute, and show up in helping us build and sustain a vibrant, engaged, and empowered PTA to truly enrich our children’s life and experience at AISA and support the school’s educational initiatives.

The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is managed by a team of five parents, a teacher representative and a representative of the administration.
Ways to contribute:
Volunteer:
To create a dynamic and vibrant community and support our children’s learning experience the PTA regularly hosts events and at times contributes to school events.
The most valuable donation to the PTA is your time. Whether to help set up coffee mornings or concession stands at games, more helping hands are always needed. Opportunities to participate in the organization of these events might become available, if interested, register as a volunteer by contacting us through the email below or follow this link.
Visit the PTA Shop and Lounge:
The PTA Shop and Lounge are places parents and students frequent. You may visit The PTA Shop to purchase school materials and merchandise, a healthy snack, a refreshing fruity ice-Lollie, socialize with the parents volunteering at the shop, or sit and have a coffee in the lounge. . The revenue from The PTA shop helps fund PTA events, outreach activities such as concessions table during events, efforts around the school, support to WAISAL and Club trips.
