AISA Update on COVID-19
Dear AISA Community, The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) has spread to several more countries. The first COVID-19 case was confirmed Lagos. We are fully aware and have been planning for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) for some time. Please be assured that we are taking all precautionary measures to ensure our AISA community remains safe. AISA will maintain a productive learning environment by providing online learning if such need arises. View Online Learning Plan (Sign in Required) AISA is asking all members of the community to comply with certain preventative measures (temperature checks, etc.). We have detailed these in the attached "Disease Outbreak Rubric". (Sign in Required) Please note that we will send out a survey next week to track the travel plans for the upcoming spring break from March 21th to March 29th. Please let us know if you plan on remaining in Abuja, traveling within Nigeria, or if you plan to go to another country (along with the name of that country) when we send the survey. Currently, there are five countries where the country or region are at a high category risk, and therefore, if your family travels there, we would ask you to self-quarantine for 14 days upon return. These countries are China, Iran, South Korea, Japan, and Italy. However, the identified countries can change with some countries being added or dropped from the list as new developments occur. This precaution is now commonplace in several countries, particularly in schools. For an example, you may read the UK government’s COVID-19: guidance for educational settings.
