Technology Program

The American International School of Abuja has a new technology curriculum vertically aligned to ensure that students leave with strong technology skills. All students are given access to devices as part of our 1:1 technology program and receive dedicated classes from the elementary school on ensure a strong technological proficiency. Starting this year, coding has been taught from third grade up.

 

In High School students are given the option to take advanced technology courses using industry standard tools.

 

 
Current Advanced Technology Courses

Robotics

Students design and build robots and program them to accomplish a series of different tasks.

 

 

Digital Story Telling

Students use industry standard tools to create high quality digital media projects. Students cover print design, photo editing, and video editing.

 

AP Computer Science 

Students will be given the option to take an AP computer science course that will help strengthen their programming skills and give them college credit. 

 

Middle School Robotics

Middle School students in select grades will be given the opportunity to build and design robots with the lego robotics kit and IDE. They will design, build, and program their robots to complete a series of basic tasks.
